About James
James is from Niles, Ohio, where he played football and ran track in high school. He continued as a sprinter at Tiffin University and earned his Bachelor's in Exercise Science. After 3 years working as a personal trainer and group fitness coach in Columbus, he moved to Cleveland to attend Cleveland State. While in school, he worked in personal training, group fitness, and sports performance training, and graduated with his Master's in Exercise Science. He's now 6 years into personal and group training, with 3 of those in sports performance work.
James wants every client to know their goals are within reach when they walk in. He builds general strength first, then layers in the work that actually feels fun. His sessions are quiet and built around lifting. Expect a lot of reps, weights, and a heart rate that gets where it needs to go. He trains clients of every age, from youth athletes to former college competitors to adults who've never worked out before. His specialty is the general population: the people who want to feel stronger and more comfortable in their bodies, no matter where they're starting.
